Efficient Clinical Grade Biomarker Testing & Data

ProterixBio has extensive experience adapting commercially available immunoassay reagent-systems for clinical grade or fit-for-purpose performance in target populations. As such, we offer tiger team flexibility – we excel in enabling efficient clinical grade biomarker testing across platforms and sample types. We focus on immunoassays and have validated approximately 40 assays to date in a relatively short timeframe. In addition to developing assays for serum and plasma, ProterixBio has developed assays using dried blood spot specimens, saliva and nasal swabs, and has acquired experience/expertise with multiple micro-sampling devices.

The chart below highlights a number of accessible assay menus that ProterixBio has experience with as a function of the relative time required to adapt the relevant reagent-system for clinical grade performance – likely a matter of weeks for the systems shown in the far left of the chart, up to 2 months or so to validate analytical performance of assays in the far right of the chart.

Our Platforms

Most of our development work to date has been based on commercially available ELISA kits from suppliers such as R&D Systems, and we have also developed a selection of in-house ELISA tests (listed below) across multiple protein biomarkers. We can also bring on content for the Protein Simple ELLA system (Bio-Techne) and PATHFAST, and have extensive experience with Quanterix Simoa. We are able to leverage wide menus of commercially available immunoassay reagent-systems across these platforms, and can potentially work with the manufacturer(s) to develop assays if needed.

In addition, we are currently evaluating a number of clinical and emerging platforms with a view to bringing these online in the near-term.
